Bike and trials is much more than just a hobby for Sergey, because he devoted to it a considerable part of his life. He is living in Kazan City, training in Zelenodolsk City, but competitions are held at different places of Russia and Europe. His whole life is movement.

Sergey’s father was too seriously involved in cycling early in life, specifically, in road racing. Initially, Sergey went into "roadies" too.

Once, it was in the late 90s, he saw a performance of a man from USA on TV, who was up to something incredible on a bike. Then Sergey remodeled his touring bike for the trial and tried to do the same: to drive on the rear wheel only, to ride with small obstacles ... and so on. He started to compete with best Russian sportsmen initially, just for fun, and then with a specific purpose.

In August of 1999, he took part in Moscow Bike and Trials Tournament for the first time and took the 4th place immediately, and gave the capital advanced racing cyclists a shock by that. Then in September of 1999, he took the 2nd place at the competition in Krasnaya Polyana. And since 2000 he began to take first places.

By the way, if someone doesn’t know yet, bike trial is overcoming the obstacles on a bike. These trails seem to be not used even for hiking: the height of obstacles reaches 1, 5 meters and higher, and the distance between them becomes smaller with the increasing of the route’s complexity. Requirements for participants are very strict. It is necessary to keep within a certain time, each touching the ground with a foot is punished with a penalty mark.

Nowadays Sergey Banderov competes on a bike, manufactured by “Forward” especially for his order. And he was involved himself in the model’s development, its geometry and some special technical characteristics. A very strong, but at the same time, a light frame is to be need for a successful performance at a high level, besides of biker’s skills. Because a bicycle is experienced by outrageous loads. The frame established jointly with Sergey and used by him at performances has never let him down, and it shows that a metal alloy was gleaned and technical details were worked out very carefully. It is on this bike that he won Russian Championship in 2007. Sergey is very pleased that he had chosen Forward’s bike. Recently Sergey has decided to try himself in another sport connected with cycling – downhill. And the company immediately supported his idea and began to develop a new frame. “Forward” is always ready to support sportsmen in all their initiatives.
